How to have a great party at The Makery
Step 1: Choose one of the projects depicted on this page.
Step 2: Contact us to make a reservation or reqest a party online.
Step 3: Create your invitation online.
Step 4: Come to The Makery. We've designed a set of instructions tailored to your party.
Step 5: We take the group through a step by step instructional
at the time of the party. Each guest gets their own project
to work on.
Step 6: Everyone gets to take home their masterpiece in a box
with their name on it. This alleviates the necessity of grab bags.

Pricing per partier:
Listed with each project
Prices Listed are for a one layer 6 inch cake per person (or 6 sugar cookies or 6 cupcakes), the birthday (or shower) cake, instruction, sprinkles, and the teacher’s help throughout the session.
Add-ons:
- 6 inch 2 layer = Add $4
- 8 inch 1 layer = Add $3
- 8 inch 2 layer = Add $8
- one 6 inch and one 8 inch = Add $8
- Each additional cupcake = $3

Equipment and room use
There is a $20/hr equipment/room use charge. The decorating usually lasts about an hour. You are welcome to bring in pizza and open the gifts, etc. here so that you don’t have to travel all over town with the whole gang. The minimum party size is 6 partiers and the maximum is 16.

Helpful info:
Here at The Makery Co., we strive to make this the BEST party you (as parents or partiers) have ever had. Here’s a little information to help you have the easiest party ever!!
- Pizza: We are right across the lot from one of the best pizza places in town, Big Bills NY Pizza. It only takes them 10 minutes to whip up the pizza. Big Bills will give you plates and napkins if requested. They’ll even cut the pizzas small for kids parties. (303) 741-9245
- Balloons: A nicety, but not necessary. If you want them, they are easily available from the King Soopers right across the street at the floral department. Regular balloons are $1 each. (303) 779-0645
- Grab bags/gift bags: Since each partier will be taking home a masterpiece that they have so proudly made themselves, there is no need for these. How nice is that?
- Birthday cake: We include the birthday cake when you book a birthday party or shower with us. It will be enough cake to feed the partiers plus a few parents who may be hanging around. For obvious reasons as well as health code restrictions, we do not allow outside cakes.
- Cake Plates/forks: We offer free 6 inch plates to eat our birthday cakes as well as forks and napkins. They aren’t anything special. You are more than welcome to bring your own that are more festive or bigger ones that better fit your needs.
- Candles: We have a vast selection of fun birthday candles for purchase. We will provide the birthday cake candles for free.
- Drinks: We have cold and hot drinks for sale here at The Makery. We have a espresso bar, drip coffee, juice boxes, Pepsi®, diet Pepsi®, Orange Crush®, Grape Crush®, Strawberry Crush®, root beer, cream soda, and bottles of water. We request that you do not bring in drinks as we sell them for purchase. We are also happy to provide a pitcher of ice water and cups upon request.

What's the difference between parties and classes?
Parties (Minimum of 6 partiers)
- Tables reserved just for your party
- Must book 7 days in advance
- Party can be at a location other than The Makery for a small travel/tool schlepping rate
- Dedicated instructor to guide you through the techniques
- 1-2 hour duration ($20/hour for tool and room rental)
- Your choice of several fun projects
- You may bring in dinner/potluck at your discretion
Classes
- Tables will be full of many people you don't know... yet
- Must register 24 hours in advance
- Limited availability (may not be able to fit all your party if prior registration isn't confirmed)
- Set curriculum for the class
