Desiree Kelly - Sugar Artist

Desiree, the originator of The Makery concept, has always had an affection for art. When her little sister told her she was getting married, Desiree offered to make the wedding cake. She took traditional classes, which led to the discovery of her hidden talent. She has since taken classes with famous sugar art instructors, been featured on food TV, and received a business degree.

Erin Dogans - Sugar Artist

Erin has recently graduated from the University of Colorado at Denver with a bachelors degree in music performance. She hopes to be performing soon with her twin sister, Megan, who also works at The Makery. Erin works as the assistant manager as well as cake decorator. Paula, Erin, and Desiree each took blue ribbons at the 2008 Colorado ICES cake show: Sweet Times in the Rockies. Paula also claimed a second for another piece.
