Since the advent of rum cake hundreds of years ago, spirits and sweets have gone hand in hand. Let’s take it up a notch and pair beautiful sweets with lively concoctions dreamt up by master libation artists. The wonderful cocktails were crafted by Adam Douglas (National Spirit Competition Judge and co-owner of Peak Beverage). It’s safe to say that these are decadent and perfect for your holiday party.
The Cozy Cup paired with salted caramel pumpkin cheesecakes
- 2 oz Arete Tequila
- .25 oz Cointreau
- .5 oz Cayenne Pepper/ Cinnamon Simple
- 1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
- 2 dashes chocolate bitters
- Chocolate Flake and lime garnish
Shake and serve up in coupe
The Say Cheese Cocktail paired with raspberries cheesecakes
- 1.5 oz Beefeater Gin
- .75 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
- .75 oz Peach Pure
- .5 oz Simple Syrup
- Top w/ Champagne Lemon twist
- Garnish with a raspberry and lemon twist
Shake, strain, and serve in flute (add champagne after shaking)
Absolute Happiness is paired with mini triple berry fruit pies
- 2 oz Absolute Vodka
- .75 oz Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice
- .5 oz Simple Syrup
- Garnish with a mint sprig
Shake and serve on rocks
The Maple Moonshine is paired with maple bacon red velvet cupcakes
- 2 oz Buffalo Trace Bourbon
- .75 ozFresh Lemon Juice
- .5 oz Apple Cider/maple syrup/ rosemary simple
- Garnish with a rosemary sprig and bacon strip
Shake and serve on rocks
The Cider Snap od paired with gingersnap cookies
- 2 oz Cruzan 9 Spiced Rum
- .75 oz spiced apple cider simple
- muddled orange twist
- dash of apple bitters and a dash of angostura bitters
- garnish with a cinnamon stick and apple slice
Stir and serve neat in rocks glass
The Cookie Fettish is paired with giant cookies
- 1.5 oz Absolut Vodka
- 1 oz Coconut Cream
- 1 oz Fresh Mango Puree
- 1 oz Pineapple Juice
- 1 drop peppermint oil
- Garnish with mint leaf and pineapple
Shake, Strain, and Serve in tiki glass/ hurricane glass
