Honored, Grateful, and Still a Little Teary: Our “Best Dessert” Win at Serving Up Hope 2025
We are still floating after an incredible Friday at Serving Up Hope, held on November 7, 2025. This annual fundraiser, beautifully produced by the Meetings Industry Council of Colorado (@miccolorado), brings together the heart of our events and hospitality community for one shared purpose: supporting the Food Bank of the Rockies (@foodbankrockies).
This year, our community raised over $62,000 to help feed families across Colorado. That number alone was enough to make us emotional… but then something happened that truly overwhelmed us:
We won “Best Dessert.”
To say we are honored doesn’t begin to express it. We pour our hearts into what we create, but to be recognized by the people we admire most, our peers, colleagues, and friends in the events world, is something we’ll cherish forever.
Walking into Serving Up Hope always feels magical, but this year was different. The room was buzzing with energy, generosity, teamwork, and genuine care. It reminded us why we do what we do. The hospitality community shows up—not just for great food and creativity, but for each other, and for the greater good.
There was a moment (okay, more than one!) when I felt my eyes well up. Seeing so many people come together with such purpose and heart is the kind of thing that restores your faith in everything.
A special thank-you to:
-
The Meetings Industry Council of Colorado (@miccolorado) for hosting an unforgettable event that truly embodies community impact.
-
Food Bank of the Rockies (@foodbankrockies) for the life-changing work they do every single day.
-
Everyone who attended, supported, donated, tasted, voted, and lifted up this cause.
-
And, of course, our own community—including all of you reading this, for believing in what we do.
Winning “Best Dessert in Denver” is something we’ll remember for years, but what will stay with us even longer is the feeling of being part of something meaningful, something bigger than ourselves.
Here’s to more impact, more creativity, more community, and more reasons to cry happy tears.
With so much gratitude,
Thank you,
Prez Dez
