Less expensive option to ombré ruffle wedding cake

Our brides have been bringing us gorgeous photos of fondant ombre ruffle wedding cakes recently, and are disheartened to learn that this wedding cake costs significantly more than they thought due to the hours involved. So, we came up with two more offers to help easy the pain of the added expense. The first is to make several colors of buttercream and ombré them up the cake while ruffling the buttercream. The second, and least expensive, is to do the ruffle in white buttercream and airbrush the ombré on the buttercream of the wedding cake. Both are lovely and beautiful substitutions to the traditional fondant ombré ruffle wedding cake.
