The Makery Cake Co was honored to be a stop on Trulife Studio’s tour this month. For those of you who don’t know, Trulife Studios (of which The Makery Cake Co is a member) is a brilliant wedding planning resource for Colorado brides. We are a group of highly accredited wedding vendors in the Denver area that are cutting edge. We seek out the new, the amazing, and the wow. One of the ways we do this is by visiting wedding vendors and venues in the Denver area to make sure we know all there is about that WOW factor so that we can be a great resource to our brides. In attendance this time were David (Master of Decor), Evette (master of the quill), Mike (Master of the moving picture), Jessica (master of everything vintage), Jenni (Master of the camera), Suzy (Master of Musicians, which is funny as her company is Masterful Musicians), Sarah (master of the photos, owner of Trulife Studios, and creator of Facebook’s Save My Colorado Wedding Page), and myself (Master of Cake).
The tour this month was an initial stop by The Makery Cake Co where we tried our hand at decorating our own mini wedding cakes. Then it was off to Maggiano’s Little Italy. What an education we had there!! Did you know that as big as that wonderful restaurant is, they still make everything IN HOUSE!!! ok, they do get their pasta elsewhere, but all those amazing sauces, bread, ravioli, dips, Mahi Mahi, oh, my goodness… And I had no idea what they did for a wedding reception. So, they showed us! They treated us to an amazing family style meal, which is how they bring the family feel to your wedding reception. Talk about amazing! Did you know they also do breakfast? What a great way to have a meeting, right? I have to get our reservations in for our Christmas dinner for the staff ASAP, as they are booking up fast for that!
Our last stop was at the Highlands Ranch Mansion where Jaye took us an a tour of that historic and amazing facility. I have been there several times myself, having been invited to be on their trusted vendor’s list, but there is nothing like taking a guided tour. I had no idea of all of the intricacies of the hand painted bathrooms, the amazing historic structures, and the way they kept the floor plan when adding the huge and completely beautiful event space was awe inspiring! They have open viewing hours every Tuesday and Thursday from 9-2pm. You should really take a look!
Thanks so much to our hosts, and I can’ t wait for the next one!
